In the Vedas, we find sufficient material related to the psychology, Economics and Education. In the Sociology mainly the following topics have been dealt with:- caste system, Sanskaras, the status of women, family & society, architecture, food, clothing, ornaments, fine arts, means of transport etc. In Economics the following topics have been dealt with:- Agriculture, cattle breeding, herbs, crafts, professions, trade and commerce, Import and Export, coins etc. In the Education main topics are the importance of educational psychology, duties of teachers and taught, subjects of education etc.

वेदों में समाजशास्त्र, अर्थशास्त्र और शिक्षाशास्त्र के सिद्धान्त सूत्र रूप में मिलते हैं । इनमें से समाजशास्त्र शीर्षक में वर्णजाति, वर्णाश्रम- व्यवस्था, संस्कार, नारी का गौरव, परिवार और समाज, भवन-निर्माण, खानपान, वस्त्र-परिधान, आभूषण, ललित कलाएं और यातायात के साधन का विवेचन किया गया है । अर्थशास्त्र में कृषि, पशुपालन, ओषधियाँ और वनस्पतियाँ, विविध वृत्तियाँ, अर्थव्यवस्था, कोषसंग्रह, व्यापार- वाणिज्य, आयात-निर्यात, धातुएँ और मुद्राओं आदि का वर्णन है । शिक्षाशास्त्र में शिक्षा का महत्त्व, शिक्षा मनोविज्ञान, शिक्षक और शिष्य के कर्तव्य और शिक्षा के विषयों आदि का वर्णन है।
